Terms of sale
Passes and memberships. Version of 1 November 2026.
1. Who sells, and what these terms cover
The seller is the organiser identified in the legal notice, acting for OSHIL GROUP, a société par actions simplifiée in formation, which takes over these contracts on its registration. These terms apply to passes and memberships of The World Sport Economy Forum. Partnerships, exhibition stands and host city agreements are governed by their own written agreements.
2. How a place is confirmed
You send a request through the site. Our team answers within two to four working days. A place is confirmed only by our written confirmation, which states the pass or membership, its price and these terms; the contract is formed on that confirmation. Because seats in some rooms are limited and the Forum convenes official delegations, the organiser may decline a request, without discrimination, for reasons of capacity, security or conflict of interest.
3. Prices and VAT
Prices are in euros. Prices for businesses are shown excluding VAT. A consumer sees the total price including all taxes before confirming. VAT is charged under the rules of the place where the edition is held, because admission to an event is taxed where the event takes place; a virtual pass is taxed under the general rules.
4. Payment
By bank transfer on invoice, and by card once online payment opens. For businesses, invoices are payable within thirty days of their date. Late payment by a business bears penalties at three times the French legal interest rate and a fixed recovery indemnity of 40 euros (article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code). A place unpaid at the edition may be released.
5. Right of withdrawal
Contracts for leisure activities to be provided on a specified date are excluded from the consumer right of withdrawal under article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, where that exclusion applies. Whatever the case, every participant may cancel under section 6.
6. If you cancel a pass
- More than 90 days before the edition: refund of the price paid, less a handling fee of 10 %.
- From 90 to 31 days before: refund of 50 % of the price paid.
- 30 days or less before, or no-show: no refund.
- Instead of cancelling, you may name a colleague in your place at no cost until 7 days before the edition, then for a fee of 100 euros, or carry your pass over once to the next edition if you tell us more than 30 days before.
7. Memberships
A membership runs for twelve months from its written confirmation and covers the edition held in that period. It renews each year for the same term unless either party gives notice at least three months before the renewal date. A consumer member is told in writing, one to three months before that date, of the right not to renew (article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code). The fee is not refundable once the membership has started, except under section 8. For Founding Members, the fee is locked for three years on renewal.
8. If the organiser changes or cancels the edition
- The host city and dates are those stated in your confirmation. If the organiser moves the edition to another city or other dates after your confirmation, you may keep your place or obtain a full refund within 30 days of your request.
- If the organiser cancels the edition, the price paid is refunded in full within 30 days; members may instead carry their membership to the next edition.
- Changes to the programme, speakers or rooms do not give a right to a refund; the four days, their questions and the access of your pass are maintained.
- The organiser is not liable for travel and accommodation costs. Participants are advised to book flexible fares and to take travel insurance.
- In a case of force majeure (article 1218 of the French Civil Code), the parties are released from their obligations for its duration; sums paid for a part of the edition that cannot take place are refunded or carried over, at the participant's choice.
9. Admission, badges and conduct
Badges are personal and are collected on presentation of photo identification. Resale or transfer of a pass outside section 6 is not authorised; habitual unauthorised resale of tickets for sporting, cultural or commercial events is an offence under article 313-6-2 of the French Penal Code. The organiser may refuse or end access, without refund, for conduct that endangers people, breaks the confidentiality of closed sessions or disrupts the edition.
10. Photographs and filming
Public sessions and evenings are photographed and filmed for the Forum's reports and communication. Participants who do not wish to appear tell the accreditation desk and receive a distinct badge cord; their wish is respected. Closed sessions, including the Dealroom, are never recorded.
11. Liability
The organiser is liable for damage caused by its proven fault. For business participants, liability is limited to the price paid for the pass or membership, except for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and excludes indirect losses. Consumers keep all rights the law gives them.
12. Personal data
See the privacy notice.
13. Disputes
Write to us first through the contact page; we answer within two to four working days. A consumer may also refer a dispute free of charge to the consumer mediator whose details are given here before online sales open. French law applies. For businesses, the commercial courts of Paris have jurisdiction. These terms exist in English and French; for participants in France, the French version prevails.
